The Republic of Sierra Leone Sierra Leone is a small country on the western boarder of Africa, roughly the size of South Carolina, holding a population of 6.4 million people.
The history of the country and culture of Sierra Leone is very interesting, with impacts from the era of slave trading, thier eventual freedom, colonization as an English state, and releasing as a Republic in the early 1960's.
However, it wasn't very long ago
that the people in this poor nation were forced to
face the most treacherous event to go down in their history books.. a brutal Rebel War that lasted from 1990 to 2002 when the President of Sierra
Leone finally declared the War to be over.
