About CWP
Christian-based, non-denominational (or rather... inter-denominational) registered,
tax deductible, non-profit organization based in Fremont, MI, USA.
Established June 2008.
Nearly 23 years ago a newly married couple began the adventure of a life time as they set sail, so to speak,
toward the country of Sierra Leone, West Africa.
By answering God's call to step outside of their comfortable lives, Brian and Gail Welch were able to devote the
better part of 6 years, teaching and healing the
broken people in the village of Mattru, which is found
in the southern region of Sierra Leone. In 1994 there was an outbreak of Civil War, forcing the young couple to
evacuate the country to return back to the United States.
Since her return, Gail shared that she "had a burden to
reach back after all the years of war. I had paid for
rice and staples for and old christian woman and saw
how easy it was to do. Soon after, my friends at
work wanted to help as well... after spending much
time in prayer it grew into CoolWater Projects.
Organizing an official incorporation would allow us to
apply for grants and offer tax deductions for donors".
CoolWater Projects has now been an offical non-profit organization for 3 years, providing spiritual support, food projects for widows and orphans, medical support for a sick elderly man, as well as, providing water filters to an orphanage in Honduras and to 11 different villages in
Southern and Western Sierra Leone.

“In this day and age, it’s hard to be sure that the non-profit you are investing in will use your money in the way you would like to see it used. You can be sure that 100% of all private donations directly for projects, with no percentage used for staff or overhead. And the best part is that the donor can choose which project(s) they want their money to be used for!"
